    Hallowe'en Teal Pumpkin Downloadable Poster

Ever since Katherine was young her family has always given out alternatives to food treats at Hallowe'en. It all started for her when her sibling was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and was sad that there weren't options for kids who couldn't have candy and sugar. Their mum started to offer other choices, like glowsticks and stickers, to kids as an option, instead of candy.

This was before the Teal Pumpkin Project had been developed but today we sign our house up to participate in Fare's Teal Pumpkin Project for our kids and others like them.

When Katherine was older she kept up this tradition and with our kids, who have food allergies, we have joined those that put out a Teal Pumpkin to show they have treats other than candy for Hallowe'en at our home.

A black hill with a teal pumpkin graphic in the light of a full moon with bats and coulds swirling in the sky. It reads:"The Allergen Free Kithcen. com, Teal Pumpkin, Allergy Friendly Alternatives, Available Here, Toys | Stickers | Glowsticks"

Over the years the poster they put up has changed from a hand drawn sign to a poster they print up and stick to the door. In addition, we up out a ceramic teal pumpkin near the sidewalk past our house to let parents and kids know we have allergy friendly options.

Some of the treats we give away are toy cars, stickers, pencils, braclets, glowsticks, and hallowe'en themed toys.
